The exhibition of students works of Architectural faculty of
Azerbaijan Architectural-Construction University (Az ACU).
On November 13-17, 2000 in Istanbul University “Mal-Tepe” was held an
exhibition of students works of Architectural faculty of Azerbaijan
Architectural-Construction University (Az ACU).
This action had a purpose to acquaint teachers and students of architectural
department of University "Mal Tepe" with a level and methodises of
leaching in Architectural faculty AzACU, and also a creation of conditions for
further co-operation of two Universities, There were presented works of
bachelors and masters of 7 existing in the faculty chairs. An exhibition had a
success, students works attracted an attention by its performance. Within
frameworks of programs one of important places took the topic on study and
restoration of ancient Albanian monuments, which is studied by chair
Architectural constructions and restoration of architectural monuments".
Exhibition's visitors acquainted briefly with history of Caucasian Albania as an
ancient state on the territory of Azerbaijan, with problems, raised in process
of monuments study, and also with question's study.
A great interest was raised by problem of two religious monuments, and also
features of churches and mosques of Azerbaijan, raised in result of such
coexistence, and which give originality to monuments of this region. It was
especially emphasised a necessity of study of Christian historical past of
Azerbaijan, which is an integral part of country's general history. Visitors
were acquainted with monuments, located on illegally occupied at present time
Azerbaijani territories, which were in past basic cultural and political centres
of Cultural Albania. A special attention was attracted to such monuments as
Gandzasar monastery complex in XIII c, in Vanklu settlement of Agderin region
and Khotavank monastery in XIII c in Kelbajar region of Azerbaijan, which at
present time captured by Armenian occupants. This topic took the main place in
hour and half TV show on Turkish television. Turkish scientists expressed a deep
interest to this question, and also offered to assist in problem’s study and
in scientific publication of investigation's materials.
